The Sunrise Social Club has been an evolution over many years. It has presented itself in many ways over the years, before coming to be what it is today. I have had a yearning to write things for others to read for as long as I can remember. As I grew into adulthood, I developed deep curiosities in humanity from a developmental and psychological perspective, as well as through the lenses of wellness and spirituality. And of course, I’ve had a strong pull toward nature since childhood; always finding beauty in the earth around me and feeling inspired by the natural cycles and phenomena that we get to experience on this planet. I always pondered the ways I could marry all of these passions for writing, and psychology and wellness and spirituality and community. Long before the Sunrise Social Club had a name, the essence of it was sprouting in my mind.

During more recent years, a new love for early mornings and sunrises sparked something new. During the time of a global pandemic, when the world around us quieted down, I found myself coming more alive. I was fueled by an early start, and the ability to take my mornings slow, as I no longer had the burden of a commute to work. My husband and I developed a practice of getting. outside as soon as we woke up, for a walk by the ocean with our dog. And on most days, we caught sunrise together, This daily experience breathed new life into my day, my soul, my relationship and my creativity. I realized that sunrise was something that I had such a stong personal expierience with, but at the same time, so many others could be having their own experience with. It sparked feelings of both introspection and connection at the same time. And that was exactly the feeling I wanted for my brand. I want it to offer content that helps people to learn, evolve and grow, both individually and within a community. I wanted it to have the power to help you rise up in all the positive ways your spirit deserves, and to shine bright in all the ways that this world needs you to. Thanks for being here.
